Rooting For You was developed in response to the RSA Spark competition, which challenges young designers to create solutions for real-world social and environmental issues. This project responded to the brief: “How might we support communities to create cooler, greener and fairer cities in response to climate change?”

The outcome is a climate-conscious design aimed at first-year university students. A low-maintenance indoor plant kit featuring air-purifying species like spider plants and peace lilies. Designed to promote wellbeing and environmental awareness, the kit encourages students to care for greenery in their rooms, helping them reconnect with nature while contributing to urban cooling and biodiversity. With accessibility, education, and community at its core, Rooting For You offers a simple, scalable step toward a greener future, one student at a time.
